THE BIOGRAPHY OF LIEUTENANT GENERAL FİKRET

LIEUTENANT GENERAL DEMİRTAŞ
was born in Muğla in 1952. After completing his primary and secondary
education in Muğla, he was enrolled in
Lieutenant General Fikret DEMİRTAŞ, who served in various units of the
Gendarmerie General Command in Afyonkarahisar, Yozgat and Mardin, attended to
the High Class of the
He served as;
Deputy Military Attaché of Syria Damascus between the years of 1990 – 1993,
Chief
of Staff and Chief of Training in the Gendarmerie Schools Command
respectively between the years of 1993 – 1995,
Secretary General of the Gendarmerie General Command between the years of 1996 – 1997,
Chief of the General Plans and Policy Department between the years of 1997 – 1998, and
Diyarbakır Provincial Gendarmerie Commander between the years of 1998 – 1999.
He was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in 1999 and served as;
Diyarbakır Gendarmerie Regional Commander between the years of 1999 – 2001 and
Bilecik 2nd Gendarmerie Training Brigade Commander between the years of 2001 – 2003.
He was promoted to the rank of Major General in 2003 and served as;
Gendarmerie Schools Commander between the years of 2003 – 2005,
Chief of Operations in the Gendarmerie General Command between the years of 2005 – 2007 with this rank.
He was
appointed as the Chief of Staff in the Gendarmerie General Command in 2010.
