THE BIOGRAPHY OF LIEUTENANT GENERAL FİKRET DEMİRTAŞ

LIEUTENANT GENERAL DEMİRTAŞ  was born in Muğla in 1952. After completing his primary and secondary education in Muğla, he was enrolled in Kuleli Military High School in 1967. He graduated from Kuleli Military High School in 1970, the Military Academy as Gendarmerie Lieutenant in 1973, the Infantry School in 1974 and the Gendarmerie Officer School in 1975.

     Lieutenant General Fikret DEMİRTAŞ, who served in various units of the Gendarmerie General Command in Afyonkarahisar, Yozgat and Mardin, attended to the High Class of the Gendarmerie Officer School in France between the years of 1979 – 1980.

    He was enrolled in the Army Staff College in 1985 and after graduating from the Army War College in 1987, he graduated from the Armed Forces College in 1989.

He served as;

 

He was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in 1999 and served as;

 

He was promoted to the rank of Major General in 2003 and served as;

 

He was appointed as the Chief of Staff in the Gendarmerie General Command in 2010.

Lieutenant General Fikret DEMİRTAŞ is married to Mrs. Birsen DEMİRTAŞ, has two children and knows French.
