MODERNIZATION TARGETS of GENDARMERIE GENERAL COMMAND

In the modernization program developed based on Force Structure and Operational Needs Plan of Gendarmerie General Command, the followings have been targeted:

* To meet the needs derived from the amendments and renewals foreseen in the Plan of Force Structure within the period of ten years.

* To establish command-control and communication system that ensures safe, secure, rapid and economic flow of information; integrates wired, wireless and computer systems into each other; uses digital technology and to promote and strengthen the capacity of command-control, communication, computer, intelligence, reconnaissance and monitoring (C4ISR).

* To procure modern vehicles, weapons, equipment and materials providing new opportunities and capabilities in order to carry out security and public order services effectively.

* To ensure that the operation capability of General Command of Gendarmerie improves.

* To procure important materials that are lacking in the inventory.

* To identify the operation-sustenance-maintenance of materials and their required storage amount with a cost-effective manner.

* To increase the needs and standards of new structure that will be necessary as a result of modernization and re-structuring.
